I am a Louisiana artist, born in the southern part of my beautiful state, in St. Mary Parish.  My childhood was centered around family, which included five siblings, scores of cousins, and 17 sets of aunts and uncles, most of whom still reside in the area.  Holiday celebrations and coffee after Sunday Mass at my grandmother's home are my most treasured memories.  These experiences gave me a sense of belonging, a joy in togetherness, a deep love for Louisiana, and the nickname 'Raine', which is how I choose to sign my artwork.
